When the Road Gets Narrow...3/25/2016 "But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."Matthew 7:14 It is only natural for us to pick an easier road, a shorter path, a painless way. But the more I live life, the more I am convinced that there is no "easy" way. The path to the summit will always be steep, and the more costly the way, the greater the reward. I would like to share with my faithful readers that during the last few days our family has gone through a very unpleasant experience. As my beloved grandfather has been hospitalized due to a life threatening illness. Our lives have been suddenly shaken by this, but even though we don't always understand God's ways, we are thankful for this journey of faith He has allowed us to got through, for it is yet another opportunity to witness His love and power. May we always remember His loving promise that His yoke is easy, and His burden is light; No matter how vast the storm, He will always have a greater purpose which we cannot comprehend. I ask you to please join our family in prayer for my dear Grandpa, and for strength to our family during this difficult time. Because of this situation, I will be heading to Guatemala tomorrow. But before I leave, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite moments from my last trip there. I never imagined I would be going back this soon....sometimes our prayers are answered in a completely different way than we ever imagine. Despite the unpleasant emotions surrounding this trip, I am thankful for the opportunity to go back once again. A short time prior to receiving the shocking news, I had finished recording a new song. As I think more about it, I am amazed at how the Lord is truly in charge of every detail that happens in our lives, for God was preparing me for a time when I would have to fully understand the meaning of this song's (verse's) words. Truly, we serve a risen Saviour! "Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; He has injured us but He will bind up our wounds. After two days He will revive us: on the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight." Hosea 6:1-2 So my friends, once again I set out to an unknown adventure. I am so thankful that you can join me on this journey! I leave you with my favorite verse.... "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31 Thank you for reading, and for your continuing support.
It is greatly appreciated! Until next time,
